Photos: Police Parade Ikorodu Bank Robbers

The faces of the Ikorodu Bank robbers have been unveiled by the Lagos state police command. It would be recalled that the gang of armed robbers who attacked the banks in Ikorodu last week Wednesday were caught by men of the Nigerian police.

During the stop and search exercise, the suspect was carrying in his bag, bundles of new N1000 notes with bank wrappers. Awared of the robbery incident in Lagos, the soldiers detained him and alerted the Lagos state police command.

Shortly after that, news broke out that the gang of robbers have been arrested by security operatives.
The arrest came after soldiers on duty in Ondo state arrested one of the members of the group, who was travelling to spend his own part of the loot.The soldiers, who were on a stop and search duty arrested the suspect while on his way to his home town in Okitikpupa, Ondo state.

Armed Gang attacked Banks in Ikorodu

According to reports, two banks were this morning attacked along Oba Sekumade road leading to Ebute/Ipakodo. The robbery took place at First Bank and Zenith Bank on the road leading to Ogoloto. Heavy shooting and sounds of guns were heard across the area. A Police station is directly opposite the First Bank and this would have made the Armed robbers to have a rethink but they did not. 

The police team late took control of the situations based on their tweet and everyone is advised to remain indoors.  See the tweet below...

Photos: Tanker on Fire in Ebute Ikorodu

An early morning inferno involving a tanker loads of PMS occurred and as at 7:15 am fire service is yet to arrive at the scene. Eye witness said the tanker fell off while climbing the highway leading to the Ikorodu General Hospital immediately after a Mobil filling station in Ebute Area of Ikorodu.

All road is condoned off from General Hospital as well as Police Post in Ebute. The tanker fell off around 6:15am. It can not be confirmed if any life was lost in the inferno but many livestock was affected because the tanker fell into a drainage towards the abattoir. 

Also we can not confirm if the three storey hotel opposite the abattoir and the LagBus park belonging to Worldwide a franchise of LagBus were affected. See more pictures below....
