Having to pay for baggage fees is a bit of a bind and an added expense we could all do without. But this guy has got life figured out. Matt Botten decided to avoid easyJet’s £45 charge to check in an extra bag for his flight to Reykjavik by putting on all his clothes.

He was at Gatwick Airport when he faced paying the extra cash, so just emptied his bag there and then. As a result of his extra t-shirts, jumpers, trousers and the shoes poking out of his pockets, the 32-year-old ended up being asked a few extra questions at security.

But he managed to get through along with Girlfirend Abigail White, 31.

He wrote on Facebook: ‘We’re going to Iceland baby!

‘And how to do it in a financially frugal manner, without having to stump up forty five bloody quid for a hold bag? Simply by wearing EVERYTHING I OWN.’

If you’re thinking of doing this, let this be a warning… James McElvar from band Rewind tried did this on a flight to Glasgow and ended up collapsing from heat exhaustion.

Choi: A woman tried to hide a baby in her hand luggage

A woman flying from Istanbul to Paris tried to hide a baby in her hand luggage. Crew members on board the Airbus319 headed to the French capital from Ataturk airport said they discovered a small child inside a woman’s bag.

They baby, they said, ‘seemed well’.

‘The bag belonged to a woman sat near the back of the plane,’ a passenger named Vincent, 36, told Planet.fr. ‘At one point she wanted to open it and her neighbour on the other row of seats saw there was something hidden in the interior.

‘He alerted the crew who discovered inside a baby aged one or two.’

Following the discovery the woman and her baby were promptly escorted to the front of the plane, where they stayed until landing. Air France said in a statement that an inquiry was underway.

As for the passenger who noticed the baby in the bag, a crew member said he was ‘very shocked’, which is not surprising.
