Mother kills neighbour after she finds her having sex with her son

In Kenya, a 46-year-old mother who killed a middle aged woman after she busted her having sex with her 28-year-old son has been sentenced to serve three years in jail.

A High court sitting in Kericho sentenced Irene Chemutia Boror for killing her close neighbour Linner Koroson on January 6, 2016 at Tulwabmoi, Kericho County. Chemutai initially pleaded not guilty to the charge, but later offered to plead to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Reportedly, the accused and the deceased were friends and neighbours residing in same area. But dung hit the fan when the accused discovered that the deceased had been having a love affair with her son without her knowledge.

On the fateful day, the deceased had visited the accused at her compound where they spent the better part of the day taking busaa, local brew.

At around 1pm, the court was told the accused left to drive her cattle home from a nearby field where they had been grazing and returned, only to find the deceased missing.

She called out her son’s name to inquire whether he had seen the deceased leaving the homestead, but was no response from her son. She, thus, went to his house and knocked the door several times with no response forthcoming.

It was then that Chemutai decided to forcefully open the door to find out if her son was inside the house, only to find her son and the deceased locked inside behaving in a manner likely to suggest they had been having sex, hence the silence.

The accused’s son was furious that his mother had entered his house and interfered with his love relationship with the deceased leading to fight between the two women.

The accused is said to have picked up a stone from the ground and hit the deceased twice on the head, sending her sprawling on the ground as she bled profusely. The court was told the woman writhed in pain for a while before she lost consciousness.

The accused tried to assist the deceased, but she was not responding. At her wits end, the accused fled the scene, only to surrender to the area chief and confess her sin much later.

In her mitigation, Chemutai said she is a widow and sole bread winner for her family of six children and had no plans or intention of killing to kill the deceased. She pleaded for leniency, claiming that it was just a normal fight that unfortunately turned tragic.

My husband beats my mother – Wife tells court

A trader, Mrs Happiness Ama, who could no longer tolerate constant beating of her mother by her husband, on Thursday sought to end her marriage.

Happiness, 41, approached an Igando Customary Court in Lagos, saying that her husband, Jerry, with whom she had three children in their 21-year-old marriage, turned her mother into a punching bag.

She said, “My husband beats my mother regularly; the police have warned him to stop the assault but he continued.”

She also alleged that her husband had threatened to kill her if she left him. She said, “My husband always threatens me; there was a day he brought out a cutlass telling me that he would cut off my head if I left.

“He also threatened to pour acid on me so that no man would be attracted to me. Due to his threat, I can no longer sleep with my two eyes closed.

“I have not been at peace since l got married; he is quarrelsome and violent.”

The petitioner said that their marriage had been ridden with fights and quarrels. She said, “I am tired of the beating he gives to me and my mother. I have scars all over my body as a proof of his abuse; I am scared; I don’t want to die.”

She urged the court to terminate the marriage, saying that she was no longer interested.

She said, “Since the inception of our marriage, my husband never paid house rent nor his children’s school fees.

“Save me from the cruel hands of my husband; I have suffered so much in silence.” Jerry, 60, failed to appear in court.

The Court President, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, directed the court registrar to serve the respondent summons.

He adjourned the case till Oct. 11 for mention

A teenager has somehow survived a 23-storey fall while doing pull-ups to impress a girl. Alexander Shadrin landed on a taxi parked underneath after dropping 230ft from a balcony in Siberia.

Witnesses said he climbed over balcony railings to show off. He failed. He was still conscious when paramedics arrived despite suffering serious injuries and he is now in intensive care.

Pictures show the 16-year-old on the roof of the car which cushioned his fall when it buckled underneath him, according to the Siberian Times. Investigators said he ‘climbed over the balcony rails, clung on for sometime, but then couldn’t hang on any longer, and fell onto a car parked below.’

The driver was not in the vehicle at the time. Investigators have taken statements from witnesses including relatives of the boy.

The identities the girl he was seeking to impress, and his relatives have not been made public. See more photos  below

Split: The pair are said to have ended their fleeting summer romance

Taylor Swift is holding her head high after ending her three month romance with Tom Hiddleston.
The newly-single singer, 26, appeared to have a spring in her step as she was pictured out in New York on Tuesday amid reports she didn't like Tom's 'love of the limelight'.

Looking sporty in patterned leggings and a black tank top, Taylor smiled as she strutted across the sidewalk, seemingly in a great mood following her latest failed relationship.

News of the split came just a day after an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com that the pop star felt 'uncomfortable' with The Night Manager star's desire to be 'so public' about their romance.

Tom had asked Taylor to the Emmy Awards later this month, but she began questioning whether he was with her for 'the right reasons' and ultimately decided to call off the romance. See the pictures below...

My husband starved me of sex for three years – Woman tells court

My husband starved me of sex for three years – Woman tells court

An Igando Customary Court in Lagos State on Wednesday dissolved a 15-year-old marriage between Ese Obasare and his wife, Okome Obasare over constant battery and sexual starvation.

Its president, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, in his judgment, held that the court’s decision to dissolve the marriage between the couple was for their good.

Omilola said, “This is the best decision since it appears that the estranged couple was tired of the marriage and all efforts to reconcile them have failed.

“Since both parties consented to the dissolution of their marriage, this court has no choice than to dissolve the marriage.

“Both parties are no longer husband and wife, they are free to go their separate ways without any hindrance or molestation,” Omilola ruled.

Earlier, the 41-year-old petitioner, Okome, had sought the dissolution of her 15-year-old marriage over constant beatings by her husband.

“I had lost two pregnancies through constant beatings from my husband, after which, he would give me money for Dilation and Curettage (D and C).

“He stopped me from working but locked me inside the house so as not to go out.

“He was fond of beating me anytime he saw me outside or a visitor came to visit me,” she said.

She alleged that her husband starved her sexually for three years when he barred her from entering his room. The mother of three also accused her husband of infidelity.

She alleged that her husband was dating their church- woman leader whom he always brought to their matrimonial home to pass the night.

“The woman packed-in into our matrimonial home as soon as he chased me out in 2013.

“After evicting me from the house, he told my children that I was dead, and that they would never see me again,” she said.

She pleaded with the court to grant her application for the dissolution of the marriage, saying she was no longer interested.

The petitioner, however, prayed the court to order her husband to always grant her access to their children.

But the 59-year-old husband, Ese, denied all the allegations leveled against him by his wife.

“My wife did not lose any pregnancy; she was always giving birth to a baby anytime she was pregnant.”

Ese said that his wife always flouted his orders and that he could not take that as head of the family.

“My wife was fond of disobeying my orders, she was disrespectful, she was going out at will and coming back at will,” he said.

The respondent said that he did not chase his wife out of his house but that she left on her own.

Ese consented to his wife’s request for the divorce saying that he too was no longer interested in the union.
