Hip TV channel set to launch on DSTV & GOTV

Hip TV, the urbane music and lifestyle channel will be launching out as a full-fledged 24-hour channel on the DSTV and GOTV on Channel 324 & Channel 74 respectively in a matter of weeks.

According to Ayo Animashaun, CEO of Smooth Promotions, owners of the entertainment channel, the coming of Hip TV Channel is more than a dream come true.

‘For many years, we have nurtured our own idea of how entertainment, music and lifestyle programming should be. It’s not time for so much talk but time to walk the walk and we are very excited about the huge opportunity to be in millions of homes, not only in Nigeria but across the continent. We are confident we will bring something refreshing to the table’, Animashuan said in a press release made available to NEt today.

Hip TV was founded in 2007 as a broadcast platform for HipHop World Magazine, one of the most respected music magazine in Nigeria. The entertainment outfit also has under its belt, the prestigious music awards, ‘The Headies’.

The channel is expected to go live later this year, after a launch event with details to be announced soon.
