This was made known following a press release by the APC temporary national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed yesterday Monday, April 28, 2014 which reads:
“As we said in a statement we issued on April 24, it smacks of insensitivity, inhumanity and indecency for our president and other leaders to be engaged in any celebratory venture when we do not yet know the fate of the school girls who were abducted from their school and taken to an unknown destination.
“We also said the president should not repeat the same mistake he made by flying to Kano to dance at a political rally even as the smoke was yet to clear from the scene of the Nyanya motor park bombing. We are delighted that good sense has prevailed this time,’’
In response to the press release the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo advised APC to cease taking credits for decisions taken in the party
He went further to add that “Our President is a caring person, who always puts the interest of Nigeria first. He is a father not only to his biological children , but to all Nigerians. His decision to suspend our rally in Yola has nothing to do with what the opposition is claiming.”
