Jilted husband stabbed wife 11 times in stomach and breasts

Reading Crown Court
This happens in the UK according to the Mirror. Well things be as e get as no be the same matter we dey see everyday abeg read the story. A man who launched a frenzied attack on his wife after discovering she was leaving him for another man has been jailed for 18 years.

Murateb Hussain ambushed his wife in her car, knifing her 11 times - in her stomach, breasts and left arm - while saying he was "going to take her heart."
The revenge attack was carried out after the 44-year-old found messages on his wife's phone suggesting she was leaving him, a court heard.

Hussain drove the victim to hospital where doctors performed emergency surgery to save her life.
The father-of-two, from Slough, Berks, was jailed for 18 years at Reading Crown Court today after being convicted on Thursday last week of attempted murder at the end of a three-day trial.
The court heard that he married his 28-year-old bride Mubeen when he was living in Pakistan and moved to the UK to be with her.

However, their relationship took a turn for the worst when his work shift pattern changed, leaving her feeling neglected. Hussain discovered messages on her phone showing she had met another man and, after a domestic incident when police were called, he was asked to leave the family home.

Judge Stephen John heard Hussain visited his wife and two children the morning of the attack but after the visit, took Mubeen to his car, showed her a knife and told her he wanted to kill himself - but she took the weapon from him.

Later that day, when Mubeen returned to their home in Wexham, Slough, Berks., from visiting her new man, Hussain jumped into her car and attacked her. Judge John told Reading Crown court that Hussain became enraged when he discovered she was on the phone with his love rival, Mohammed Ali.

"You threatened her with that knife. You became angrier when you learned that Ali was listening to the conversation," he said. "You told your wife that she had a choice: either leave Ali and return to him, or you would kill her." The court heard that despite her pleas for mercy, Hussain attacked her, stabbing her 11 times and trying to strangle her with her scarf.

All the while he was saying he was going to "take her heart that night." Judge John continued: "She screamed and you stabbed her. "She pleaded with you about the children. You stabbed once more, grasped her scarf to strangle her, saying you were going to take her heart that day. "

After the attack Hussain realised she was seriously injured and drove her to Wexham Park Hospital where her life was saved. Hussain, of Fernleigh Road, Slough, Berks., admitted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm but denied attempted murder. However, a jury took less than five hours to find him guilty of the more serious charge on Thursday, following a four day trial at Reading Crown Court.

Notu Hoon, defending, appealed for as short a custodial sentence as possible because of Hussain's previous good character and no previous convictions. "He was under severe mental stress at the time," Mr Hoon said. Mrs Hussain fled the court and burst into tears after her husband was led away to jail. The court heard Mr Ali had now left the country and Mrs Hussain was standing her husband, with who, Judge John stressed, she had married for love.

Following his conviction, Detective Sergeant Steve Middleweek, of Thames Valley Police, said: "This was a frenzied attack on a young mother as she was sat in her car. "Despite knowing otherwise, he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder but the jury listened to the evidence and did not believe his story. "Hopefully this conviction, and the knowledge that Hussain will now face time in prison, will help the victim move on with her life and find some closure after this horrific assault."
