AYC: Flying Eagles to depart on Wednesday

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria, will leave the country to participate in the African Youth Championship in Senegal on Wednesday. Secretary of the team, Aliyu Ibrahim, revealed that the squad will fly out of Abuja via Lagos and Banjul (Gambia) to Dakar.

“We will leave Abuja Wednesday afternoon on our way to Dakar,” he said. Nigeria will play hosts Senegal on Sunday by 5.30pm (Nigerian time) at the Stade Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar. Their next two group matches will be against Congo (March 11) and Ivory Coast (March 14). The four semi-finalists from the tournament will represent Africa, at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand this May.
