Teenager tortured for eight hours by 'friends' who she thought were going to kill her

This is beaten of a lifetime as an 18-year-old who was tortured and humiliated for eight hours by her ‘friends’ has spoken of the horrifying incident. Summer Gregg was 17 when she visited the flat of Jay Blades, 20, in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, where James Canning, 20, and Amy Gaines, 21, were also present.

However as soon as she entered the flat and met the people she considered her friends, Ms Gregg said she knew something was wrong. She later found out that the trio were ‘plotting’ against her by sending text messages to one another.

The group told Ms Gregg her boyfriend was cheating on her, and reportedly became ‘aggressive’ when she didn’t believe them.Ms Gregg said when she tried to leave Ms Gaines stopped her and started slapping her around the face.

‘They were kicking me, punching me, slapping me and shouting things at me. At one point Jay had one of those motorbike chains and he started hitting me with it,’ Ms Gregg said.

‘I kept thinking what have I done to make them change? What have I done to make them want to hurt me that bad?’

At one point the group filmed the abuse meted out on Ms Gregg. She continued: ‘I was so terrified, I kept thinking they’re not going to let me live.

‘James started weeing on me, all in my hair.’

Ms Gregg even considered jumping out of an eighth floor window to escape the violence, which left her face swollen and bruised, as well as cuts and bruises on her legs, back, chest and arms.

She said the most terrifying moment came when she heard the group plotting to kill her, however when a fourth friend came over to the flat she called an ambulance and ended Ms Gregg’s ordeal. The trio were jailed for a total of nine-and-a-half years at Sheffield Crown Court for the attack which took place in December last year.
