London will once again come to a stand still tonight after Transport for London workers agreed to go on strike from 6.30pm. The Tube strike will last 24 excruciating hours until Thursday at 6.30pm – but tube services won’t actually start again until Friday morning. Mayhem could even begin today as early as 4.30pm, TFL are warning.
All London underground stations will close with all four main Tube unions agreeing to the strike. Tube workers are striking over the new night service (which is coming on September 12) – with pay and working conditions under scrutiny.

An additional 250 buses will be rolled out to cover the strike.

There is even a map to work out how many calories you can burn. London underground apologised for the action, telling Metro.co.uk this morning that the tube strike would still go ahead. The offer Tube workers have rejected included a 2 per cent salary increase this year, £200 per night a driver works, and a £500 bonus for Night Tube staff when the service is introduced in September. Tube workers went on strike over the same issue on 8-9 July.
