Video & Photos: Gay and straight guys both go to an interview – guess who got the job

After hearing how a man was sacked after his boss discovered he was gay, this duo decided to carry out an experiment. Konrad and Olle both applied for the job at the unnamed transport company in Scandinavia and were invited for interviews. One would pretend to be totally hopeless, but heterosexual, while the other would match the job requirements perfectly but would reveal he was gay.

The pair wanted to test whether it would matter.The interview started well for Olle, he said he had a truck licence, had experience driving one, was active, went to the gym a lot. Konrad however said he stayed at home doing nothing much other than playing computer games. He said he didn’t even have a truck licence or have any experience in the industry.

The boss of the firm clearly like Olle much more. That was until they discussed salary and Olle revealed he wanted to buy an apartment with his boyfriend. To which the unidentified male boos said: ‘Excuse me?’ before fobbing him off and showing him the door.

He wouldn’t even shake Olle’s hand as he left. ‘We had a really good connection, He liked me very much until I said I had a boyfriend. Then he immediately changed his mind and told me many people had applied. He didn’t want to shake my hand. It felt wrong… just weird,’ he said afterwards.Konrad meanwhile was invited back to go through the terms and conditions.
