A man is accused of pimping his wife out to more than 2,700 men, a court heard. The 54-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is said to have made £5,000 a month over four years. He would sit in the family car with their five-year-old child as his wife, aged 46, welcomed clients into their home.
Emmanuel Dupic, prosecutor at the town’s criminal court, said: ‘The husband exercised a psychological power over his wife, preventing her from stopping submitting herself to the sexual needs of customers who were sometimes very tough.’
The couple were arrested last Tuesday. The man was charged with pimping, and faces a decade in prison. They have been married for ten years.
