His name is Ludo Boumbas and he died saving the life of a woman by throwing himself in front of a bullet fired by one of the Paris terrorists. The woman he saved is in a critical condition in hospital but friends have spoken about Ludo’s ‘selfless bravery’.
They were at the birthday Houda Saadi together with a group of friends, enjoying a meal at La Belle Equipe. Sadly Houda and her sister Helina were among 19 people who died after being sprayed with more than 100 bullets. Ludo’s friend, who did not wish to give their name, told MailOnline: ‘Ludo threw himself forward to protect a girl and took the bullet. She was also shot, but she survived and is in hospital.
Ludo was part of a group of people attending the 35th birthday party of Houda Saadi, a waitress at a nearby bar, who was killed along with her sister Halima, when the gunmen moved in shortly before 8.40pm on Friday. Houda and Halima’s brothers Khaled and Bashir tried to save them but they died in their arms. May his soul rest in peace...
