A large explosion believed to be caused by a gas leak is being investigated in central Stockholm. Witnesses say the blast was heard near Brännkyrkagatan on Södermalm ar around 11.40am. Officers are not sure what caused the blast, but authorities ‘suspect it was a gas leak’, RT reports.
‘We are there to investigate what happened, but at present it is unclear what happened,’ said Albin Birch bark Berg, spokesman for Stockholm police. Emergency services are on their way to the scene.
