Chikatara aims to score more goals

Chisom Chikatara has expressed his delight after netting a treble in Nigeria’s 4-1 defeat of Niger Republic in Kigali. The 21-year-old forward replaced Tunde Adeniji in the 58th minute and made his presence felt with three well taken goals which earned him the man-of-the-match award.

He commended the team’s effort in proving themselves as a title contender and declared his aspiration to score more goals in upcoming games.

"I'm happy with my performance in the game, most importantly the goals,” Chikatara toldCompleteSports.

“It was a good performance from all of us in the second half and we really proved how ready we are to go all the way in this competition.

"Now, we focus on the next game against Tunisia and hopefully, I will get to add to my tally," he concluded.
