Yunisa Dahiru, aka Yellow, who abducted 14-year-old Ese Oruru from Bayelsa, has been arraigned at the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He was arraigned on six counts, including the abduction and unlawful carnal knowledge of the teenager from Ughelli North, Delta State.
Punch correspondent gathered that Yunusa has been remanded in Okaka prison in Yenagoa. Ese was abducted by Yunusa, a regular customer at her mother’s food stall, in August 2015, from Bayelsa and taken to Kano, where her parents had said their teenage daughter, having been converted to Islam, had been forced into child marriage, without their consent.
