
Britain managed to secure an incredible 67 medals at the Games, improving on a tally of 65 from London 2012, and a star-studded group of the team’s sportsmen and sportswomen landed at Heathrow on Tuesday morning.
Those who hadn’t already come back home – including the likes of Nicola Adams, Max Whitlock, Alistair Brownlee and Adam Peaty – were on board the British Airways flight BA2016.
To mark Team GB’s stunning medal haul, the Boeing 747 was decorated with a gold nose cone and a ‘victoRIOus’ livery.
