Kimberley Miners, a 27-year-old glamour model who has posed for tabloid papers such as the Sun, is thought to be in contact with a British fighter in Syria. Officers understand he wants her to leave the UK and join the group’s so-called ‘caliphate’ in Iraq and Syria.
Miners, from Bradford, has apparently appeared on social media with the alias Aisha Lauren al-Britaniya, and has posted images of jihadist women posing with rifles and other weapons.
Now her social media activity, which includes ‘liking’ and sharing Isis videos, are being investigated by MI5 and anti-terror police – although she denies wanting to marry a jihadist.
However, Miners admitted being in direct contact over Facebook with an Isis recruiter called Abu Usamah al-Britani.
Last week Abu Usamah posted a photo of a kitten wearing a suicide belt, along with a caption about bombing Shi’ite Muslims. Miners allegedly liked the photo, and responded with a string of jokey emojis.
