Photos: Amber Heard’s ‘domestic abuse’ injuries blamed on Johnny Depp

New photos of Amber Heard with bruises and a cut lip have appeared online following a domestic abuse restraining order being granted against her husband Johnny Depp. In her court filing she wrote that ‘there was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared for my life’.

These pictures, given to People magazine, are believed to show the aftermath of that incident. They are different to the injuries she appeared to show outside court on Friday May 27 when she requested the restraining order.

Since announcing her intention to divorce her husband, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ just 15 months after the pair married at their LA home in February 2015, Amber has accused the Alice Through The Looking Glass actor of domestic abuse.

She claims to have been a silent victim for years and friends have rallied around the actress, alleging that they had also seen signs of abuse.

‘This incident really stuck with me because she confided in me that day that she feared for her life after an intoxicated Johnny tried to suffocate her with a pillow,’ a friend told thew New York Post.

However lawyers for Johnny as well family and friends, including his ex-partner Vanessa Paradis and his daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, have slammed these allegations.

‘In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years,’ Vanessa wrote in a letter obtained by celebrity news site TMZ.

‘He is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart, that these recent allegations being made are outrageous.’

Laura Wasser, Johnny’s divorce lawyer has claimed that Amber is ‘attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse’.

‘Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with her financial requests appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce.’

TMZ reported that Johnny asked the judge to reject Amber’s claim for spousal support, as they wed with no prenup in place.

However it is now thought that the actress, who met Johnny on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary, is asking for £34,000 a month.
